Please see below detailed dress code by class. All dancers must have their hair properly secured and pulled back off their face in a pony tail, braid, or bun.
No denim, sweatshirts/baggy sweaters, or sweatpants are permitted during class. Jewelry and hats should not be worn during class.
JB Dance Studio Dress Code
Attire: Dancers may wear a leotard with tights and skirt or form-fitting top and pants/shorts.
Shoes: Both black tap shoes and pink* ballet shoes
*Male dancers require black ballet shoes
Tap/Ballet Combo
Attire: Leotard with tights and skirt or form fitting shorts. Color does not matter. During warm-ups, dancers may wear items such as leg warmers or a shrug.
Shoes: Pink ballet shoes
Ballet
Attire: Dancers should wear comfortable, flexible clothing such as t-shirts, tank tops, and joggers or leggings. Avoid overly loose or restrictive clothing, and ensure that attire is appropriate and does not interfere with movement.
Shoes: Sneakers with clean, non-marking soles are required (Shoes are not to be worn outside)
Hip Hop
Attire: Form-fitting attire to facilitate ease of movement and proper instruction. Options include leotards and tights, t-shirts, tanks, crop tops, pants, shorts, and capris, or any combination of these. Please ensure that attire is age-appropriate, does not cause distractions, and allows for clear visibility of movement.
Shoes: Tan Jazz Shoes (unless otherwise instructed)
